Musically, I did not want to adhere to any rules. Writing during the height of the pandemic, I wasn't surrounded by the usual music theatre guidelines, so nothing was in my way.

I just wrote about the emotions of all the characters. I was going through my challenges and every character's emotion became my cathartic process. Essentially, I did what I now refer to as Method Music Composition.

I didn't worry about a specific style, I wrote the styles from the past blended with an orchestration that was celebratory in its expression. The boundaries of lyrical content were always pushed to be different and un-theatre like in timing and pronunciation.

Wrong in All the Right ways musically was about accepting different types of music and different genres. At its very core, the music reflects thematically what the story reflects.

The Choreography

Stylistically the dance vision is a mixture of energy from the 6o's and early 7o's rock genre. The dance cast will consist of eight dancers. Four Male and four Female who interchange from specific street characters in choreographed movements to dancers that support the song arrangement and energy.

While filming the trailer we opted for 2 males and 4 females to test the waters. I had the honour to work with Aaron John, a renowned, dancer and choreographer. Aaron blended several different styles to challenge traditions and align with the music’s attitude and flow.
